La Ville Au Rasle is a 19th century longere / cottage / holiday gite situated near Dinan in the Cotes d'Armor region of Brittany, France ideal for your Brittany holiday. The cottage is available for short term self catering holiday rentals / vacation rentals as well as longer term lets. The holiday cottage itself consists of 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and sits in nearly an acre of garden. The garden consists of lawned areas, an orchard, a BBQ area and wooded area. It has English TV, Irish & English radio, sports equipment and video player. The cottage is ideal for two families offering spacious living accommodation for up to 8 people and a large private garden away from any main roads making it ideal for a family holiday.

La Ville Au Rasle is about 35 mins drive from the popular seaside resort of St Malo on the northern coast of Brittany, France. Travel to France is easy. Ferries arrive here from Portsmouth so if you decide to travel via this route it is a short easy drive to the house. Alternatively Roscoff, Le Harve, Caen and Dieppe are all within an easy drive giving you a choice of ferry routes.

Alternativley you can now fly to Dinard and have a 35 minute drive to the house. Airlines also fly to Brest, Nantes and Rennes. See our getting there page for more information.

The location of the holiday cottage makes it an ideal Brittany holiday destination, giving easy access to Dinan, Mont St Michel, Dinard, Josselin, St Cast and St Brieuc, all very popular tourist attractions in Brittany. Rennes (TGV to Paris and Euro Disney)is 20 minutes away, with its beautiful city of timber framed buildings and large shopping centres.

The cottage is only 35 mins away from Brittany's famous Emerald coast, with its glorious beaches and tiny coves, rich green farmlands, quaint little villages towns and mighty castles. There are dozens of uncrowded beautiful spacious beaches on the Northrn Brittany coast.

The south coast of Brittany is only about 60 mins drive away where you will find more beaches and quaint little villages to explore. Popular seaside resorts include La Trinite Sur Mer, Carnac are all very popular with tourists and the famous Gulf Of Morbihan is easily reached.

For full days out why not visit the Channel Islands? Numerous ferries leave St Malo every day to Jersey, Guernsey and Alderney. Alternativley the famous D-Day beaches (Plages Du Debarquement), Gold, Sword, Juno and Omaha and war memorials of Normandy are only about 2 hours 15 mins drive. At Arromanches the Mulberry harbours are still visible in the sea and on the beaches.

This year sees the return of the Tour de France to Brittany. 1995 was the last time that the 3500km cycle race started in Brittany. St Méen le Grande & Dinan are two of the towns that the cyclists will pass through, both of which are a 10 and 20 minute drive ,respectively, of the house.
