About La Ville Au Rasle
The holiday cottage / gite is approximately 150-200 years old. It has approximately 1.25 acres of land. The
house itself sits on 0.8 acres. The house is fully renovated with beams throughout and central heating.
We prefer to refer to the house as a cottage or a longere rather than a gite. Traditionally gites were basic
offering low cost self catering holiday accommodation. The meaning of gite is now a little blurred and many people refer to any French
self catering holiday accommodation as a gite.
Kitchen
The large kitchen (34m2) is fully equipped with a dishwasher, hob, oven, fridge freezer,
toaster, coffee maker and washing machine. There is a table, 6 chairs and two easy chairs. The floor is
natural slate.
Hall / Living room
From the kitchen you enter the hall / living room. This is an extremely large room (54m2) on two
levels. The lower level consists of a hall area with stairs leading upstairs and even a small bar complete with
drinks fridge ! There is also a CD player / radio.
French doors lead onto the garden. The higher level comprises of the living room. The centre piece of this
is a huge fireplace with wood buring fire. The living room area has seating, a TV with over 90 english satellite
channels, a video recorder and a selection of films on video.
There is also a selection of reading materials, cookery books and videos available for use by guests.
Bedroom 1
This bedroom contains a single bed with underbed pullout (with a proper mattress) giving 2 berths, ideal
for children. There is also a cot, chest of drawers and a wardrobe. It also has a corner vanity unit and sink.
Bedroom 2
This bedroom contains a double bed, chest of drawers and wardrobe. It also has a corner vanity unit and sink.
Bedroom 3
This bedroom contains a single Breton bed and a single folding bed, bedside table and chest of drawers. Outside this
bedroom is a wardrobe area with ample room for hanging clothes, storing suitcases etc.
Bedroom 4
This bedroom contains a double bed, bedside tables and a chest of drawers. Outside this bedroom is a
wardrobe area with ample room for hanging clothes, storing suitcases etc.
The upstairs can be made into two separate sides each consisting of two bedrooms and a shower room/ bathroom. This enables each family
some privacy.
NOTE : Duvets and Pillows are supplied but guests must bring their own sheets, pillow cases, towels and tea towels.
Shower Room
The shower room contains a shower, and a toilet.
Bathroom
The bathroom contains a bath, a shower, a sink and a toilet.
The Garden
The garden consists of an orchard, a large lawned area, a wooded/small bush area. Its ideal for children
being private and away from any roads. There is ample room for parking. On the left side of the house is
an open 'barn' area.
There is patio furniture and a large BBQ in the garden .
