'We would like to thank you for a really wonderful holiday. Your house is beautiful, very well equipped and comfortable and we loved staying there. The location is so peaceful, we had very busy days out and it was great to come home and completely relax.
 
We loved Dinan and St Malo and spent several days on our favourite beach at Lancieux - the most brilliant rock pools, warm pools for the girls to swim in and fantastic shells to collect at low tide. We enjoyed the Cap Frehal and a couple of trips to the local swimming pool. We were lucky to have had really good weather and used the bbq most nights followed by endless games of hide and seek in the garden. We surprised many of the local farmers on regular runs through the country lanes and had a close encounter with several huge bulls walking their owners home after the fete in the village.

'La Ville Au Rasle is the perfect place for a relaxing holiday.  We loved the location of the cottage and felt that it was rural enough to be a truly peaceful holiday, yet close enough to various places if you wanted to venture out, with the beach being approximately 40 mins away.  The owners have done a fantastic job with the cottage and its charm is felt as soon as you open the front door.  Everything (and more) was supplied, and they were extremely helpful in advance in asking if there was anything else we needed.  Our 2 year old daughter also loved the property and very soon started calling it “home”.  Thank you for letting us share your home,'....Michelle, Sleaford, Aug 2009

'We have just spent two weeks in the unique 'La Ville au Rasle'. It was a really happy, peaceful and fun fillled time. We are feeling so relaxed, fit and joyful after our stay in this beautiful house. The garden with flowers and my favourite smell of of newly mown hay was a pleasure to sit in and to enjoy lunch with a glass of wine or a cool beer.

The sea side at Concale and Estables sur La Mer were just under an hours drive and well worth the visit. Dinan is just 20 minutes away and it has so many walks, great restaurants, shops, cobbled streets and of course the Rance river.

One night we sat enthralled at the Chateau de Beaumont and enjoyed a night of music, dance and song on a starry night with the beautiful chateau facing us. A wonderful night which we so enjoyed. The feast of St Jean was celebrated in the nearby village with spectacular  bonfire and fireworks displays, music and happy people.

The friendliness of the neighbours added very much to our stay in this very comfortable house. We will certainly be returning in the near future and will recommend this lovely place to all our friends and family.' ...John & Bridget, Laois, Ireland, June 2008

'A gem of a place, a real find! A lovely house with authentic french character. An oasis for those who want to get away from their hectic busy daily lives. It was my first time in this region of Brittany - thought Dinan was 'formidable and tres jolie' with its lovely houses, cobbled streets & a fantastic Christmas ambiance. It was a good idea to visit St Malo - recommended if you need retail therapy. A thoroughly enjoyable few day. Can't think of a nicer place to come & stay. 'Wonderful accomodation - spacious, comfortable and extremely well equiped. All the extra touches - food on arrival & birthday treats - very much appreciated.

Great location for exploring - as a family with two young children we found the following excellent

       - Aquarium. St Malo - great sharks

       - Parc Préhistoric with life size models of dinosaurs - kids loved it!

       - Chateau la Bourbansais with animal and birds of prey show, maze and train

       - Cobac Park - a little dated but lots of fun for under 10s

Great day trip is a visit to Ile de Bréhat, taking a 10 minute boat trip from Paimpol, Pointe de l'Arcouest- beautiful, peaceful (no cars), small beach and fabulous flora.

'We had a fantastic holiday - your house is absolutely beautiful and by far the best equipped holiday home we have ever stayed in whilst in France. It is a real gem - so much space and such a lovely setting - we can see why you fell for it!!

The weather was beautiful whilst we were there and we enjoyed several barbecues - the kids really rate french steak hache over english burgers and our youngest who has always refused to eat sausages has been won over!! The garden lent itself to family badminton and swingball tournaments and a good read in the sun whilst sipping a glass (or two).

Dinan which we visited before is as always a great place for a day out. Don't miss market day on Thursday morning, it's a real treat. There is a beautiful sandy beach 'Plage la caroual' just as you approach Erquy - we will definetly go back - the youngest enjoyed body boarding for the first time. Le Ferme d'Antan near Plédéliac is a good visit for kids. The reconstructed farm house from 1924 was very interesting. Go on Wednesday if you want to try your hand at making butter or bread.

Finally it was lovely to arrive to a beautifully laid table and the wine, jam and water were much appreciated.

You were a real find and we would happily return again and recommend you to friends and family.
